Police were called to Old London Road, near Richmond Road, yesterday (April 12) at 5.42pm following reports of an assault.
At the scene, a 16-year-old boy was found with stab wounds.
He was taken to hospital where his injuries have been found to be not life-threatening nor life-changing.
No arrests have been made at this time, but an investigation is ongoing, reports our sister-site London Now.
A section 60 order was authorised giving police additional stop and search powers to prevent any further violence and disorder.
As a result, three people were arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and drugs.
Police cordoned off a parade of shops on Richmond Road as an investigation took place.
One eyewitness who saw the incident unfold said:“Police were already on the road dealing with another incident when a young man ran out of the barbers and notified the police.
”One of them grabbed a first aid kit out of the trunk.”
A police helicopter was also reported hovering around Kingston on the night of the incident.
